Store cupboard essentials

A few simple ingredients to keep in the pantry (aka cupboard) can help rustle up some sensational suppers.Here's our list of essential must haves -let us know what you keep in yours.
 
Extra virgin Olive oil
  • Maldon Sea Salt
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Light Soya Sauce or Tamari
  • Honey
  • Coconut milk -tins and creamed packets
  • Spices-ground or seeds if you have a pestle &mortar
  • Cumin,coriander,fenugreek,fennel,chilli flakes,cinnamon
  • Curry powders like Madras,garam masala,
  • Knorr Swiss Stock cubes-Vegetable,Beef,Chicken,Lamb,Fish & Ham*sometimes they are on deals that's when we stock up.
  • Moroccan spice rub
  • Pasta
  • Brown rice
  • noodles (rice or egg)
  • wholemeal wraps
  • black pepper corns
  • tomato puree
  • ketchup
  • mustard
  • Tinned tomatoes
  • Also the list below is not essential but they come in handy to make quick & easy meals that are packed full of vitamins and minerals.I like to have a small selection of these at the ready.But keep your eyes peeled for special offers(checkout Bargain shops)and buy these when they are on offer to stock up your cupboard.It is best to use dried legumes & pulses however for convenience/time/portioning and electric bills I do use tinned(cans).It's up to you.
